The Power of CIAC Matching Endowments

For over 25 years, the CIAC has been transforming the lives of students through its innovative matching endowment program. When this initiative began, the Department of Construction Science had only seven endowed scholarships. Today, thanks to the unwavering support of our members, we are proud to have over 400 CIAC endowments—and we continue to grow!

Here’s how you can join this remarkable legacy:

Scholarship Endowment Matches:

  • A $15,000 donation is matched with $10,000, creating a $25,000 endowment.
  • A $25,000 donation is matched with $20,000, resulting in a $45,000 endowment.
  • Already have a CIAC endowment? You can grow it! For an additional $12,500, the CIAC will match $12,500, adding $25,000 to your existing fund.

Each $25,000 endowment provides a $1,000 annual scholarship to a deserving student in perpetuity, ensuring your generosity impacts future generations.

Capstone Endowment: A donation of $90,000 is matched with $60,000, creating a $150,000 endowment. This significant contribution supports capstone projects and ensures our students have the resources to excel in their final academic endeavors.

A Growing Tradition

In the past three years alone, we have seen remarkable growth:

  • From 2022 to 2024, we have received 16 matches per year for $15,000 donations, with $10,000 matches from the CIAC.
  • Last year, four $25,000 donations were made, each matched with $20,000 from CIAC for a total $45,000 endowment.
  • Additionally, we received our first Capstone Endowment, marking a significant milestone in our history.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Beyond endowments, there are also sponsorship opportunities available for pivotal events such as career fairs, student competitions, and more. These sponsorships offer direct engagement with students and the chance to further invest in their professional growth.

Let’s Continue the Legacy

The CIAC’s matching program stands as a testament to the incredible impact of industry partnership. With every new endowment, we move closer to ensuring every student has access to the resources they need to thrive.

If you would like to learn more about these giving opportunities or sponsorship options, please don’t hesitate to contact the Industry Relations Office. Together, we can continue to build a brighter future for the Department of Construction Science and its students.

Thank you for being a vital part of this journey. Your support truly makes a difference!
