Summer Staff Retreat
Staff gathered for a retreat on June 4 at Legends Event Center to reconnect, address communication challenges and explore opportunities for mentorship, leadership and professional growth.
The workshop began with an introduction and safety overview from Jim Titus, woodshop supervisor, who reviewed the location and use of healthcare equipment around the college.
Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness led small-group exercises featuring real-world workplace scenarios to encourage discussion and critical thinking.
Sarah Franke, director of staff advocacy and support, closed the session by discussing available resources and effective team communication.
The day wrapped up with a fun and relaxed outing to Top Golf, where colleagues connected across departments.
Over friendly competition at the driving bays, teams mixed and mingled, building trust outside the office. The interactive environment also promoted teamwork, as colleagues coached and cheered each other on.
Casual conversations helped reinforce the day’s themes of collaboration, communication and growth. It was a fun, informal setting that encouraged staff to connect beyond their daily roles.
