COA Celebrates 551 Graduates in Historic Spring 2026 Commencements
A Class of 2026 student showcases the commemorative 150th-anniversary Texas A&M University tassel and stole.
The College of Architecture celebrated 551 degree candidates this spring as part of the university’s largest graduating class in history and during Texas A&M’s 150th anniversary year.
The college’s spring 2026 degree candidates included 416 undergraduate students, 129 master’s students and six doctoral students. They are among the approximately 13,775 degrees Texas A&M awarded across 10 commencement ceremonies at Reed Arena on May 6–9.
College of Architecture undergraduates were recognized at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, with master’s and doctoral students honored during the 2 p.m. master’s and doctoral hooding ceremony later that day.
As the college’s newest former students, graduates joined the Aggie Network, which includes more than 570,000 living former students.

Spring Celebration Closes Out the Semester

Students, faculty and staff gathered in the Langford Breezeway on April 28 for the COA Spring Celebration to mark the end of the semester.
Attendees enjoyed a free meal from local food vendors and took time to unwind at seating tables. The breezeway also featured student project posters from this year’s Harold L. Adams Interdisciplinary Charette, giving the college community a chance to connect and reflect on the year’s accomplishments.
Departments Recognize Achievement at Spring Scholarship & Awards Banquets
Each department gathered for an annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet to recognize the talent, dedication and hard work that defined the academic year.
The Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning hosted its event on April 10, followed by Construction Science's on April 23 and Architecture's on April 24.
Across all three celebrations, students were honored for academic excellence, leadership, service and achievement, while scholarship and award support helped spotlight the momentum they’re building for the year ahead. Faculty and staff were recognized throughout the year for their dedication to teaching and research excellence. Multiple former students received alumni awards to celebrate their connection to their departments and commitment to excellence in their industries.
