Our collaborative effort with the Hazard Reduction and Recovery Center was a huge success. Within this workshop, we looked into the impacts of wildland fires in the growing wildland-urban interface (WUI) of the Southern United States. Our wonderful attendees from TDEM, Texas Forest Service, Louisiana Department of Forestry, and other state & local community partners gave invaluable feedback on challenges and solutions around wildfire management in the south.
